Jamaica is my favorite destination. I have traveled there many times! Montego Bay, Negril, Ochi and the pristine white sand beaches of South Coast. Traveling during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Keep Calm - You Can Still Travel!

You may be wondering, "Can I travel during the pandemic?"

That is a great question.  The answer may surprise you. My answer to you is, WILL you travel during the pandemic?

When the world started to spin again in 2020, travel was like a bear coming out of hibernation...slow and groggy, but with a hunger months in the making.

My first "pandemic" trip was in October 2020.  I escorted a group of 20 "Type-A" women to Jamaica.  We navigated the covid testing, test results uploads and travel authorizations.  We stayed at the AWE-mazing Moon Palace Jamaica.  It was an amazing trip, long overdue.

I returned from that trip and the phone was starting to ring again!

In November 2020, a trip to Cancun for Halloween & Day of the Dead, with my husband, and staying at the beautiful adult only Sun Palace.

Upon return from that trip, the phone was ringing.  I realized that people were seeing travel happen through social media posts, and word was out...WE CAN TRAVEL AGAIN! They wanted in.

Over the next 5 months, I continued travelling regularly.  Experiencing all the covid protocols, entry requirements and testing. I visited Jamaica again, Cancun again, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and domestic trips.  I experienced how to navigate the travel landscape successfully, so I could guide you to do the same. 

The trip to Hawaii, we island hopped!  YES! Successfully testing in destination, navigating the travel portal and off we went from Waikiki to Kona on The Big island.

Costa Rica had different challenges with travel insurance requirements, and testing in a third world country to come home. However, eight ladies on a yoga retreat made it to the "Clinico", and all made it home, safe and sound. 

In April, I escorted a group to Beach Palace, flew home, and the next day I was on a place to Jamaica to meet up with another group.  I timed my return to the US test, to meet the requirements for entry into Jamaica.  I was literally proving travel was back.

I took a break from the friendly skies over the summer.  Living in the Chesapeake bay region, I like to stick close to home when the weather is warm.  As fall 2021 approached, I was back in the air.  Texas for a conference. Florida for the annual Travel Leaders EDGE conference in Orlando, Florida. And what trip to Orlando would be complete without checking out the parks of Walt Disney World and Universal Studios?  

As the cold has arrived in the mid-Atlantic, November had me back to Jamaica.  December brought the opportunity to take a cruise with Royal Caribbean.  And we finished 2021, the week of Christmas at the beautiful Sandals Emerald Bay in Exuma, Bahamas.  All the while successfully navigating different protocols and entry requirements for each.

So, I ask you again - WILL YOU TRAVEL DURING THE PANDEMIC?
