From West Palm Beach, Florida to Chincoteague Island, Virginia, Southern California to the Caribbean...I love the beach!

Jamaica is my favorite destination. I have traveled there many times! Montego Bay, Negril, Ochi and the pristine white sand beaches of South Coast. Island Routes is the number one source for excursions and getting off resort. Dunn's River Falls, Appleton Estate Rum Factory, zip lining thru the rain forest canopy, or rafting down the Martha Brae...there is something for every vacation style (except snow) in Jamaica!

Jamaica - Heartbeat of the World!

From the first visit to the island of Jamaica, to my 20 plus visits since, Jamaica never lets me down! 

I grew up on a small island off the coast of Virginia.  I listened to reggae music and Jimmy Buffet since I was a teenager.  I knew the "island vibe" life. What I didn't know, was how much island life would fuel my love for Jamaica.

My first visit to Jamaica was for my one year anniversary to Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay. (This came after honeymooning with Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia).  I instantly fell in LOVE with Jamaica.  Never did I know then, that I would be in the travel industry, nor a travel advisor, with over 20 stamps on my passport from Jamaica!

What's not to love?  Gorgeous beaches, luscious tropical rain forest, beautiful people with warm smiles, and JERK!  Yes, jerk chicken, jerk pork, jerk fish, jerk everything! When you visit the island of Jamaica, you can't help but get swept away with the island vibe. 

Jamaica is an adventurers paradise.  You can zip line, ride horses on the beach, jump off of a cliff, climb waterfalls and even take a ski lift (that's right...ski lift) up the side of a mountain, to take a ride on a bobsled and a roller coaster!  And, if you just want to be laid back and chill on a beach, well that's Jamaican style too!

With so many visits to Jamaica, I have had the opportunity to stay and visit many of this islands resorts and boutique hotel properties.  I have stayed at all of the Sandals & Beaches Resorts properties.  What is interesting that each of the resorts has a different vibe.  With this experience, it is easy for me to match your vacation style and dream, to the best resort for you.

Moon Palace, in Ocho Rios, is another great family friendly resort option.  They have a Flow-Rider surfing simulator, and a dolphin habitat.  You can literally swim with the dolphins right on property! 

For more romantic and couples vacations, Couples Resorts in Jamaica is another great option.  There are several properties to choose from in Negril and Ocho Rios. 

Want a more boutique place to stay, Half Moon, Rockhouse, Skylark, and many more to choose from.  If you are a James Bond, 007 fan, you can even stay at ian Flemming's Goldeneye resort.  WOW!
